Greetings, I am a long time quilter and mark maker with threads. The 100 days project gave me a daily discipline and added order to an uncertain time. A current interest in textile books decided me to construct a journal of design ideas for future use. I used some of Robyn Gordon’s excellent collages as a starting point, reducing one aspect of them to pure design (proportion and direction). Some I sketched in ink pen and some I stitched in thread. What did I learn:- Confirmation of where I am currently; strong, simple images with meaning…….and yes, I would do it again, perhaps in a still smaller format, stitching on paper. Barbara M Hilford.
